Kazuki Shikimori, the Aoi Academy student who can cast only eight spells before he turns to ash, is thrown up against Lina Inverse and her companions in this one-volume crossover special. It sets the magic-school comedy of Maburaho beside the sorcery-and-bandits adventure of Slayers and runs the two casts straight at each other, a standalone tie-in rather than a continuation of either series.
