Three years after the One Year War, the Delaz Fleet, a rogue Zeon force loyal to the late Gihren Zabi, breaks the peace. Its ace Anavel Gato infiltrates the Federation's Torrington base in Australia and leaves with the nuclear-armed Gundam GP02A Physalis. Rookie pilot Kou Uraki takes the GP01 Zephyranthes after him, backed by Anaheim engineer Nina Purpleton and the crew of the carrier Albion. This film condenses the thirteen-episode 0083 OVA into a single theatrical cut.
