Kouta Shibaki still holds a stack of magic tickets that grant any wish and cut into his lifespan each time one is spent. Rurumo, the apprentice witch who handed them over as part of her own training, is still tied to him. This second serialization picks up exactly where the first run stopped, and the Makai-hen subtitle points where it goes: away from Kouta's classroom and toward the witches' world Rurumo was demoted from.
