Kazuma Yagami, once banished from the fire-wielding Kannagi clan for lacking their elemental talent, returns to Japan four years later as a Contractor — a master of wind magic and the most powerful Fūjutsu user alive. His cousin Ayano Kannagi, the clan's hotheaded heir and wielder of the sacred sword Enraiha, is forced to work alongside him when a string of attacks targets the Kannagi household. Together with Kazuma's younger brother Ren, they track threats that blur the line between family grudge and outside conspiracy.
