Nodoka Hanadera's fairy partners Rabirin, Pegitan and Nyatoran are mysteriously carried off to a strange place, where they meet Mirakurun, a small spirit of tomorrow who is on the run. Mirakurun makes the trio three Miracle Lights and sends them home. Meanwhile Nodoka meets the Pretty Cure teams led by Hana Nono and Hikaru Hoshina, and together they come up against Refrain, a spirit of yesterday who is hunting Mirakurun and keeps turning the clock back so that the same day repeats. Only those holding Miracle Lights notice the loop.
