Hikaru Hoshina, a 13-year-old in Mihoshi Town who loves stars and constellations, is watching the night sky when she meets the aliens Lala and Prunce and the fairy Fuwa. From them she learns of the Star Palace, where twelve Star Princesses kept the universe in balance until the Notraiders attacked and the princesses scattered as the Princess Star Color Pens. When Fuwa is captured, Hikaru's wish to save Fuwa brings her a Star Color Pendant and Pen, and she transforms into Cure Star. This manga adapts the anime series of the same name.
