Son Goku is a strange, monkey-tailed boy raised alone in the mountains, where he has grown up with little contact with the outside world. His life changes when a teenage inventor named Bulma arrives hunting the seven Dragon Balls, mystical orbs that summon the dragon Shenron to grant a single wish. Curious and absurdly strong, Goku joins her quest, and their search across the world draws in martial artists, treasure hunters, and the wish-seeking Emperor Pilaf.
