ピンポン THE ANIMATION

Makoto 'Smile' Tsukimoto and Yutaka 'Peco' Hoshino have been inseparable since childhood, bonded by table tennis at their local dojo. At Katase High's ping-pong club each hits a different wall. Peco's raw talent collapses against Kong Wenge, a Chinese player recruited by a rival school, while Smile's inhuman reflexes stay locked behind an emotional flatness that his coach Jo 'Butterfly Joe' Koizumi wants to crack open. One tournament season pulls both of them in alongside the obsessive Ryuichi 'Dragon' Kazama and the journeyman Manabu 'Demon' Sakuma.
