GANTZ

Kei Kurono and his childhood friend Masaru Kato die after being struck by a train while rescuing a man from the tracks—then wake up in a sealed Tokyo apartment alongside other recently deceased strangers. A featureless black sphere called Gantz assigns them targets: aliens disguised among the city's population, to be hunted with skintight suits and high-tech weaponry. Survivors earn points toward freedom, but each mission pushes the body count higher, and Gantz offers no explanations.
