Jyugo, a compulsive jailbreaker who has escaped every prison on the planet, lands in Nanba — the world's most secure penitentiary — alongside cellmates Uno, a gambling addict with a sharp eye for women; Rock, a brawler who lives to eat and fight; and Nico, an otaku and former drug user. Under the watch of their guard Hajime Sugoroku, the four inmates of Cell 13 turn daily prison life into a spectacle of escape attempts, odd jobs, and over-the-top comedy.
