Misaki Takahashi is cramming for university entrance exams when his older brother Takahiro hands him over for tutoring to his best friend, the celebrated novelist Akihiko Usami. Misaki quickly discovers that Usami also writes BL novels — starring a thinly veiled Takahiro — and that the eccentric author has just been forced to confront his unrequited feelings for the brother who is about to get engaged. Two adjacent couples share the spotlight in shorter parallel arcs: literature professor Hiroki Kamijou with the pediatrician Nowaki Kusama, and university student Shinobu Takatsuki with literature lecturer Miyagi.
