Kazuya Kagami carries his late mother's obi sash everywhere, until it manifests as Kiriha, a sharp-tongued girl in a kimono. Kiriha is a tsukumogami, an object that gains a spirit after long years of care, and she steps in when Kazuya is attacked by an amasogi, a malformed spirit born from someone's twisted wish. Bound now to Kiriha, Kazuya is pulled into a hidden world of gods and spirit-objects alongside his childhood friend Chisato.
