Raised in the mountains as a traditional swordsman, Yoichi Karasuma is sent by his father to keep training at the Ikaruga dojo in the city, where his old-fashioned manners clash with modern life. The dojo is run by the four Ikaruga sisters, and Yoichi moves in among them, enduring the stern Ibuki's harsh discipline while fumbling through school and unfamiliar customs. Misunderstandings pile up as the country-bred samurai tries to fit into a household full of girls.
