Takato Matsuki, a fan of the Digimon card game, scans his drawings with a newly transformed D-Power and brings his creature Guilmon to life in Shinjuku. He soon meets fellow Tamers Rika Nonaka and Henry Wong, partnered with Renamon and Terriermon, as wild Digimon begin crossing into the real world. The intelligence agency Hypnos works to send them back, while the children defend the city. This third Digimon series tells a self-contained story set apart from the earlier Adventure continuity.
