Taichi Yagami and six other children are swept from summer camp into the Digital World, a parallel reality where they each bond with a partner Digimon. Armed with devices called Digivices that let their partners evolve into stronger forms, the group — later called the DigiDestined — navigates hostile territory controlled by hostile Digimon while searching for a way home. Taichi's partner Agumon, who can evolve into the dinosaur-like Greymon, anchors a team whose members range from Yamato and his wolf partner Gabumon to young Takeru and his winged Patamon.
