Taichi Yagami and six other children are swept from summer camp into the Digital World, a parallel reality where they each bond with a partner Digimon. Devices called Digivices let those partners evolve into stronger forms, and the group, later known as the DigiDestined, crosses hostile territory while searching for a way home. Taichi's partner Agumon, who evolves into the dinosaur-like Greymon, anchors a team that runs from Yamato and his wolf partner Gabumon to young Takeru and his winged Patamon.
