この世界の片隅に

Suzu Urano, a young woman from Hiroshima who loves to draw, marries into the Hojo family and moves to the naval port town of Kure in 1944. She learns to keep a household under tightening wartime rationing, gathering wild greens and stretching meager supplies for her in-laws. As air-raid sirens grow more frequent over Kure and Hiroshima, Suzu holds on to small daily routines and her sketches while the war reaches her doorstep.
