In the years before the main story, the bandit Ban climbs the great tree at the heart of the Fairy King's Forest to drink from the Fountain of Youth. Elaine, the fairy who guards the spring, throws him off it, so he climbs back up, and again, until a week of bickering turns into something closer to company. These OVA episodes shipped with limited editions of the manga: Ban's flashback first, then a run of short side stories about the rest of the Sins.
