Synopsis
Two years after the full-dive VRMMO Infinite Dendrogram launches, college-bound Reiji Mukudori finally logs in under the name Ray Starling, guided by his veteran older brother Shu. Every player is paired with an Embryo, a unique companion that grows with them; Reiji's takes the form of a girl named Nemesis who can shift into a weapon. As Reiji learns a game where NPCs act fully alive and choices stick, he steps into the kingdom of Altar and its first quests.
