Synopsis
Chika Takami, a second-year at the seaside Uranohoshi Girls' High School in Numazu, idolizes the school idol group μ's and decides to start one of her own. With the school facing closure and a merger, she recruits classmates into a nine-member group they name Aqours, hoping the Love Live competition can draw enough new students to keep Uranohoshi open. Friends like the composed Riko Sakurauchi and childhood pal You Watanabe join her first steps from rooftop rehearsals toward a real stage.
