This second season continues the partnership between Ushio Aotsuki, a boy who wields the cursed Beast Spear, and Tora, the monstrous yokai he once freed from a temple pillar. As the alliance between humans and yokai is forced wider, the threat of Hakumen no Mono, the great evil the Beast Spear was forged to fight, moves to the center of the story. The season carries the conflict introduced earlier toward its decisive confrontation.
