In a Sengoku-era Japan now ruled by demons called Oni, the bushi who once fought them have been branded villains and erased from history. Fifteen-year-old Musashi works the mines alongside neighbors raised to revere the Oni as saviors, but he holds on to the truth and dreams of becoming a bushi. Together with his childhood friend Kojiro, he sets out to wield a kishin blade and challenge the demons head-on.
