In a world where every person secretly shares one face with two identical Doppeliners, the three split a finite store of luck, and meeting one another can prove fatal. Keita Ibuki lives unaware of this until he meets Kuro, a Tera Guardian who maintains the world's life energy. When Keita is mortally wounded, Kuro saves him by forming a Tera contract that binds their lives together, drawing him into the hidden conflict around the Doppeliner system.
