Chihiro Furuya is a high schooler obsessed with zombies and the occult, and Rea Sanka is the sheltered daughter of a controlling temple family who longs to escape her father's grip. These bundled OVA episodes sit alongside the TV series: one rewinds seven months before the two meet, following Chihiro as he comes across the book that sets his reanimation experiments in motion, while another fills in events around the Sanka household. They serve as supplementary chapters rather than a standalone entry point.
