Hibiki Higoromo, an amnesiac girl who goes by Empty, wakes in the Neighboring World and falls in with Kurumi Tokisaki, who is hunting a mysterious adversary. Kurumi leads her to a school where Quasi-Spirits gather and fight one another for the chance to have a wish granted. This first part of the two-film Date A Bullet spin-off draws Empty into Kurumi's search across that strange afterlife-like realm.
