Shido Itsuka, an ordinary high schooler in a world plagued by devastating spatial quakes, discovers that the disasters originate from beings called Spirits whenever they appear on Earth. When his younger sister Kotori reveals she leads Ratatoskr, a covert organization that wants to save the Spirits rather than destroy them, Shido learns he has a rare ability to seal their powers — but only by making each Spirit fall in love with him. His first encounter is with Tohka Yatogami, a sword-wielding Spirit at the epicenter of a fresh quake.
