Synopsis
A century after a tectonic disaster sank much of Japan's coastline, the all-female Blue Mermaids guard the ocean cities that replaced it. Akeno Misaki enrolls at Yokosuka Girls' Marine High School to join them and is named captain of the destroyer Harekaze, reuniting with her childhood friend Moeka China. On the ship's first voyage the crew is fired on by their own instructor and branded mutineers, and Akeno must hold her crew together while they work to clear their names.
