Issei Hyoudou opens this preview special by recounting how he was killed on a first date and revived as a devil by the crimson-haired Rias Gremory. From there it retells the closing stretch of the previous season, with Rias's peerage and the gentle Asia Argento redrawn in the character designs the Hero season adopts. Numbered episode zero, the special is a bridge into the fourth season rather than a standalone entry point.
