High schooler Wataru Sajou has spent the past year openly pining for his classmate Aika Natsukawa, until a stray soccer ball to the head leaves him newly convinced that someone like him is out of her league. He pulls back without explanation, and Aika, who had finally grown used to ignoring him, reads the cold shoulder as outright dislike and starts to mind. A romcom of two people misreading each other follows, while a couple of other classmates begin to notice the Wataru that Aika no longer can.
