Junpei Murao loved ballet as a boy but buried the dream after his father died, deciding he should act more masculine, and took up Jeet Kune Do instead. In middle school a transfer student named Miyako Godai, whose mother runs a ballet studio, spots his lingering fascination and invites him to dance. Pulled back toward the barre, Junpei has raw physical gifts but no foundation, and he struggles to rein in his own emotions enough to learn real technique.
