Guideau, a feral young woman cursed into a body that is not her own, travels with Ashaf, a composed man who carries a coffin containing her true form. Working for the Order of Magical Resonance, the pair hunts down witch-related incidents across a dark fantasy world while pursuing the specific witch who stole Guideau's original body. Each case brings them closer to that witch and deeper into the politics of those who wield forbidden magic.
