Arata: The Legend

In the mystical land of Amawakuni, a youth named Arata stands in for an absent princess at a once-in-sixty-years succession rite, only to be framed for treason when the sword-wielding Twelve Shinsho turn on the throne. Fleeing for his life, he switches worlds with Arata Hinohara, a bullied high-schooler from modern Japan, who lands in Amawakuni in his place. Hinohara must master a living Hayagami sword and clear the other Arata's name while his old tormentor Kadowaki crosses over wielding power of his own.
