High-schooler Daisuke Dojima and his friends Gai, Lu, Marimari, and Keisaku are caught in the Shibuya Drift, an event that tears the center of Shibuya loose and hurls it three hundred years into the future. There they meet Milo, an agent who hands them piloted mecha called String Puppets and tasks them with defending the displaced district from the Revisions, gene-altered enemies attacking from the ruined cityscape.
