Set two years after the original series, Tokyo Ghoul:re follows Haise Sasaki, a young investigator with no memory of his past who leads the Quinx Squad for the CCG, the agency that hunts ghouls. Like Haise, the Quinx members have been surgically given ghoul organs so they can wield kagune in combat while living as humans. As they pursue ghouls across Tokyo, Haise struggles to keep his own ghoul half in check while fragments of a forgotten identity press against the life he now knows.
