Yuuko Kanoe has haunted the old school building of Seikyou Academy for decades, unable to reach the living, until first-year Teiichi Niiya turns out to be able to see and touch her. The two begin digging into how Yuuko died, a task tangled by the many contradictory ghost stories the school tells about her, some of them warped versions of the truth. Teiichi joins the Paranormal Investigations Club to chase the real account behind the rumors.
