Ichiro Sato, a third-year at Kawanuma West High, keeps stumbling into mortifying situations with Kana Kojima, a Japanese-language teacher his classmates nickname "Kojima the Demon" for her temper. Away from the classroom that fearsome reputation gives way to a clumsy, flustered side, and the two collide again and again in bathrooms, the school pool, and the infirmary. Later arcs hand the same setup to other students and other teachers, a new pair at a time.
