Aya Asagiri is a middle schooler tormented at school and beaten at home by her brother Kaname, until a sinister website appears on her screen one night and offers her magical power. The next morning she finds a pink toy-like gun in her locker — a 'stick' that works real, lethal magic but drains the user's life with every use, making her bleed each time she fires it. A watchful classmate, Tsuyuno Yatsumura, who carries a stick of her own, approaches Aya claiming she wants an ally.
