A man dies in a car accident and wakes reincarnated as a sentient sword, embedded in an altar on a plain crowded with monsters, his memories intact but his name gone. Following an instinct to find a wielder, he saves a cat-eared slave girl named Fran from a beast and becomes her weapon. She names him Teacher and sets out to grow stronger, while the sword tries to understand how he ended up where he is. Tomowo Maruyama's manga adapts Yuu Tanaka's light novel.
