Sixteen-year-old Subaru Sumeragi is the thirteenth head of the Sumeragi clan, a line of onmyōji, and works in modern Tokyo to lay restless spirits and shield ordinary people from supernatural harm. He lives alongside his flamboyant twin sister Hokuto, who designs the bold outfits they both wear, and Seishirō Sakurazuka, a gentle veterinarian who openly courts him. The gloved, soft-spoken Subaru handles each case across the city while the bond between the three deepens.
