Sixteen-year-old Subaru Sumeragi is the thirteenth head of the Sumeragi clan, a line of onmyōji, and works in modern Tokyo laying restless spirits to rest and shielding ordinary people from supernatural harm. He lives alongside his twin sister Hokuto, who designs the bold outfits they both wear, and Seishirō Sakurazuka, a gentle veterinarian who courts him openly. Gloved and soft-spoken, Subaru takes each case as it comes while the bond between the three deepens.
