Eight hundred years after his fall from grace, Xie Lian, once the beloved crown prince of Xianle, ascends to the heavens a third time, now a scrap-collecting god with no temple, followers, or offerings. Sent down to investigate a string of supernatural disturbances, he takes in a quiet young man who turns out to be Hua Cheng, one of the four ghost kings feared across the realms. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's danmei novel pulls Xie Lian back into the affairs of heaven, earth, and ghosts.
