Touya Senji is a top student hollowed out by an inferiority complex, built from a lifetime of being measured against his gifted older brother, and he wants talent more than anything. His path crosses that of Haito Le Buffet, a classmate who almost never shows up and who turns out to wield the Branch of Reincarnation, a tool that lets its user reclaim a talent they held in a past life. Pulled into that world, Touya joins the Forest of the Greats against the Sinners, a faction that revives notorious historical figures.
