Touya Senji is a top student crippled by an inferiority complex from a lifetime of being compared to his gifted older brother, and he craves talent above all else. His path crosses that of his rarely-seen classmate Haito Le Buffet, who turns out to wield the Branch of Reincarnation, a power that lets its user reclaim a talent possessed in a past life. Drawn into this world, Touya joins the Forest of the Greats against the Sinners, a faction that revives notorious historical figures.
