Recca Hanabishi is a high schooler obsessed with ninja who insists he is one himself, and he has always been able to call fire from his right hand without ever controlling it. Everything changes when a mysterious woman named Kagehoshi attacks his classmate Yanagi Sakoshita, whose touch can heal wounds. Bound to protect Yanagi and master his flames, Recca is drawn into a hidden world of ninja clans and the mystical weapons called madougu.
