Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and the surviving cadets of the 104th have barely recovered from the breach of Wall Rose when Titans appear inside the wall with no visible break in the defenses. A new threat emerges in the form of the Beast Titan, a fur-covered creature capable of speech that commands other Titans. As the Survey Corps scrambles to locate the breach and evacuate civilians, suspicions grow that the enemy is not only outside the walls. This second TV season continues directly from the events of the first.
