Yuji Itadori, a naturally gifted high school athlete with little direction in life, stumbles into the world of cursed spirits when his school's Occult Research Club unseals a rotting finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the legendary King of Curses. To protect his friends from the swarm of curses the finger attracts, Yuji swallows it, and Sukuna's consciousness awakens inside him. Sentenced to death by the jujutsu world for harboring Sukuna, Yuji is given a reprieve by the sorcerer Satoru Gojo: find and consume all of Sukuna's remaining fingers, then die.
