The world still carries the scars of the cataclysm called Second Impact. Into that ruin, fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari is summoned by his estranged father Gendo to the secretive agency NERV and put in the cockpit of a colossal bio-machine, the Evangelion, against the monstrous Angels besieging what is left of humanity. This newly announced series returns to Hideaki Anno's mecha saga and the city of Tokyo-3 it was built around.
