きみと花火と約束と

Makoto Natsume, an ordinary Tokyo high schooler with no particular ambitions, meets Aki Hayama at their entrance ceremony. She tells him she has been waiting for him her whole life: her great-grandmother described an old painting of fireworks and a boy by exactly his name. When Aki moves away, Makoto follows the painting's trail to Nagaoka in Niigata, home of one of Japan's three great fireworks festivals, and finds a girl who seems to have come from the past. An anime film based on the light novel.
