Sakuta Azusagawa, a high schooler carrying scars from his own brush with Adolescence Syndrome — a phenomenon that manifests emotional turmoil as supernatural events — spots his upperclassman Mai Sakurajima wandering the library in a bunny-girl outfit, invisible to everyone else. Mai, a former child actress on hiatus, is literally fading from public perception. Sakuta sets out to unravel her case, drawing him into a string of Adolescence Syndrome incidents affecting the people around him.
