Kazuma Satou begins his second stretch in the parallel world under arrest, facing trial for leveling a lord's mansion. His defense team, made up of the water goddess Aqua, explosion-fixated arch wizard Megumin, and masochistic crusader Darkness, proves as unreliable in court as in combat. Cleared of charges but flat broke, the party takes on odd jobs around the town of Axel while the Demon King's generals keep zeroing in on their corner of the realm.
