Synopsis
Mikado Ryūgamine moves to Ikebukuro to attend Raira Academy alongside his childhood friend Masaomi Kida, eager for the excitement of city life. On his first night he witnesses the Black Rider — Celty Sturluson, a headless Irish dullahan working as an underground courier — streak past on a motorcycle with no headlights. Between the information broker Izaya Orihara stirring chaos for sport and the superhumanly strong bartender Shizuo Heiwajima settling grudges across the district, Mikado finds Ikebukuro far more dangerous than he imagined.
