Synopsis
A masterless ronin known as Nanashi takes on a young runaway named Kotaro as an unlikely bodyguard job, sheltering him and his dog Tobimaru from a Ming Chinese militia hunting him across Sengoku-era Japan. Among the pursuers is Rarou, a blond, blue-eyed swordsman who fights only for the thrill of facing a worthy opponent, not for any emperor. Sworn never to draw his blade again, Nanashi finds that vow tested with every step of the journey. This single-volume manga adapts the 2007 animated film of the same story.
