In this what-if spin-off, Bardock survives his final stand against Frieza and is hurled back through time to ancient Planet Plant, home of his species' ancestors. There he crosses paths with Chilled, a cold and calculating forebear of Frieza's family line, and watches the tyrant threaten the planet's people, among them the village doctor Ipana and his son Berry. When Chilled strikes down someone Bardock has come to protect, his rage triggers a transformation no Saiyan has achieved before: Super Saiyan. This manga, based on the Dragon Ball Heroes card game, was also adapted into an anime special.
